Futuring and Storytelling

The workflow unfolded in five distinct phases. The project started with futuring, in collaboration with design theorist Søren Rosenbak, where we mapped possible scenarios for feminist economies, imagining how people could interact, exchange goods, and provide care in a near-future context. These narratives laid the foundation for both the concept and its aesthetic direction.

Branding

Next, the focus shifted to brand design, where I translated the speculative ideas into a visual identity that communicated warmth, inclusivity, and community. Drawing inspiration from feminist strategieslike CARE, speculative aesthetics, and contemporary design culture, we created a system that was both recognizable and radically different from conventional marketplace branding.

Develop

In the UI design phase, the brand was brought to life through an interface that balanced clarity, playfulness, and accessibility. Every interaction was carefully considered to embody the principles of transparency, equity, and care, ensuring that users would feel invited into a collaborative, respectful, and meaningful exchange space.

The prototyping phase allowed me to test these ideas in interactive form, exploring how storytelling, visuals, and functionality could combine to create a cohesive experience that felt both tangible and speculative. Finally, the project culminated in an exhibition, designed to provoke reflection and conversation, presenting Agora as both a design artifact and a lens through which we can question the values that underpin contemporary digital marketplaces

Deliver

Agora is a digital marketplace on the radioweb, created in 2041 to foster local trade based on feminist values and care.

The project involves speculative design, brand design, futuring and UI design. Throughout the project, my work centered on brand building, narrative development, and interface design, translating complex speculative concepts into concrete, experiential outcomes. Agora is ultimately a vision of a marketplace guided not by profit, but by care, community, and feminist principles—an invitation to imagine a digital economy that prioritizes human connection over consumption.

agora: Marketplace of tomorrow

Agora is a speculative design project that imagines a feminist future, and a digital marketplace on the "radioweb in 2049" (post internet). Rooted in values of care, reciprocity, and local exchange, it challenges the extractive logic of today’s dominant platforms.

I focused on shaping the brand identity, visual language, and interface, translating the speculative narrative into a cohesive and tangible experience. Agora became both a critical lens and a conversation starter, inviting to think about what values we want to bring in to the future.
